I am a Research Fellow at the Wilson Centre and a PhD student in the Health Professions Education Research (HPER) concentration at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. My research, supervised by Dr. Stella Ng and Dr. Nicole Woods, explores the ethical implications of healthcare professional students participating in international fieldwork placements. I completed my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Biology and Family & Child Studies at the University of Guelph. Clinically, I currently work at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation hospital on their Brain Injury Rehab Team and at the National Ballet of School of Canada with their Adaptive Dance Program.

When procrastinating on my course readings, I’m usually trying to keep up with my 2.5 book clubs. Having to choose a favourite book is criminal, but since you asked, I would have to say The Monster at the End of This Book by Jon Stone. I’m currently reading Mother Mary Comes to Me by Arundhati Roy and a few Romantasy titles that shall remain nameless. I also go through podcast phases, Radiolab’s “G” series on the history of the IQ test is an all-time favourite.

In the mystical days before PhD life, I enjoyed a good activity, chasing after my twin nephews, and hunting for the best cookies in Toronto. (Update: the cookies have been found.)
